SARA RELAUNCH
SARA was relaunched on 5 October 2007 during the SADC Ministers of Transport meeting in Gaborone , Botswana . The colourful function was held during the SADC Ministers of Transport dinner hosted the Honourable Minister of Works and Transport for Botswana Ms Lesego Motsumi. The Honourable Minister gave a keynote speech for the ceremony. more>>
PARTICIPATION AT THE SADC HEADS OF STATE SUMMIT , LUSAKA , ZAMBIA , 14 -17 AUGUST 2007

Recently SARA participated at the SADC Heads of States Summit which took place in Lusaka , Zambia from 14 to 17 August 2007 at the invitation of the SADC Infrastructure and Services directorate.
The SADC secretariat extended an invitation to SARA as one of the sub-regional organisations to showcase at the summit as a way of creating awareness to the SADC officials and Heads of State. This year, the Summit included a special brainstorming session on infrastructure under the theme ‘Scaling up the Implementation of Infrastructure Development in the Region' and SARA President and Executive Director were invited to attend. SARA went on to request SADC secretariat to include SARA Board Vice President as attendee at this special session.
